Tim Connelly explains Timberwolves’ vision for Jonathan Kuminga

Minnesota Timberwolves president Tim Connelly believes Jonathan Kuminga can make an impact on both ends of the floor.

“He’s accomplished so much, he’s only 23 years old, and his best basketball is well in front of him,” Connelly said during Kuminga’s introductory press conference.

Connelly particularly highlighted his potential partnership with LaMelo Ball: “Jonathan is as elite an athlete as it gets. He’s one of our best cutters, while LaMelo is one of the best playmakers in the league.”

Kuminga will also help replace Julius Randle and Naz Reid. “He can play up, he can play down,” Connelly added. “We thought he’d be a perfect fit.”
