The New Orleans Pelicans have officially waived Taj Gibson after acquiring him from the Memphis Grizzlies in Tuesday’s Jordan Hawkins trade.
The veteran big man signed a multi-year contract with Memphis last February, but his stay in New Orleans lasted less than 24 hours.
During his age-40 season, Gibson appeared in 10 games for the Grizzlies, averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.7 minutes.
