Collin Sexton says opportunity to win attracted him to Lakers

Collin Sexton explained that he chose the Los Angeles Lakers because of the opportunity to compete at a high level. “I wanted an opportunity to win, be on a big stage and try to impact winning,” he told ESPN LA.

The guard believes he fits well with the new roster and praised former Utah teammate Walker Kessler for his rim protection and the improvements he has made offensively.

Sexton also appreciated the minicamp organized by Luka Doncic in Slovenia. “It was about team building. For Luka to do that shows he’s a true leader and wants to be the one to lead us this season.”
