Nigel Hayes-Davis suffered a hand injury during Panathinaikos’ practice today. Medical tests revealed a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, and the player was fitted with a special splint. Initial evaluations indicate that he is expected to miss approximately six weeks.
Based on that timeline, Hayes-Davis is expected to miss Panathinaikos’ first five EuroLeague games: Paris (September 24), ASVEL (September 30), Maccabi Tel Aviv (October 2), Fenerbahce (October 8) and Partizan (October 13).
The first game after that stretch is scheduled for October 16 against Hapoel Tel Aviv. However, Hayes-Davis’ availability for that game will depend on the progress of his recovery and the final assessment from the medical staff.
