Kevin Durant believes the Brooklyn Nets had the most accomplished roster, on paper, of any team he played for. “I would say Brooklyn. Kyrie, James, Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, Patty Mills — we had the names,” Durant said on Boardroom.
Durant based his choice on the individual accolades accumulated by the players before they arrived in Brooklyn. However, the team built around KD, Kyrie Irving and James Harden never reached the NBA Finals, with injuries repeatedly disrupting its championship window.
The two-time Finals MVP still considers the Golden State Warriors the best actual team of his career, specifically highlighting the 2018-19 roster featuring Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins: “That’s probably the best team that I’ve been a part of.”
