The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to work on keeping James Harden. According to Shams Charania, the franchise remains in constant communication with the veteran and his agents as they look to reach a new deal and continue their partnership.
At the same time, Cleveland is showing strong interest in two forwards on the free-agent market: restricted free agent Peyton Watson and unrestricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga.
The trade that sent Dennis Schröder to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Tre Mann has increased the Cavaliers’ flexibility, making it more realistic for them to pursue further roster moves. Cleveland can now use that additional flexibility to strengthen the team ahead of next season.
