Gudaitis Commits to Rytas
Rytas Vilnius has officially announced a contract extension with team captain Artūras Gudaitis, who will remain with the Lithuanian club through at least the summer of 2028 under a new 1+1 agreement.
The 33-year-old center had the option to activate an exit clause and move abroad this offseason but instead committed his future to the club.
A Key Figure in a Historic Season
Gudaitis played a pivotal role in Rytas’ historic FIBA Champions League triumph, averaging 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 22 minutes per game, earning a spot on the competition’s All-Second Team.
He was even more productive in the Lithuanian League, posting averages of 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and a 19.0 efficiency rating, while being selected to the LKL’s All-League First Team.

“I truly appreciate the trust of the club and especially the support of our fans. We have ambitious goals, and now the most important thing is to stay united, work hard, and keep winning together,” Gudaitis said.
Head coach Nedas Pacevičius also highlighted the importance of keeping his captain:
“Artūras is a true leader on and off the court. He holds the locker room together, understands what it means to represent this club, and will also play a key role in helping our new players adapt.”
The 2026-27 campaign will mark Gudaitis’ fifth season with Rytas Vilnius across multiple stints with the club.
