Peristeri Betsson signs Manolis Chatzidakis for the 2026-27 season

Greek center strengthens the frontcourt

Peristeri Betsson has officially announced the signing of Greek center Manolis Chatzidakis for the 2026-27 season. The 2.08-meter big man will add depth to the team’s frontcourt for both the Greek League and European competitions.

Last season, Chatzidakis played 17 Stoiximan GBL games with Maroussi, averaging 2.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 9.9 minutes per game.

Experience across Greece’s top clubs

Born in Leros on April 21, 2000, Chatzidakis began his professional career with AEK Athens before spending time with Maroussi, Koroivos Amaliadas and Kolossos Rhodes.

He returned to AEK for the 2023-24 campaign, appearing in 34 games across the Greek League and the Basketball Champions League.

During the 2024-25 season, he played for Aris, averaging 3.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 41 appearances between the Stoiximan GBL and the EuroCup.

Chatzidakis has also represented Greece at the Under-16 and Under-18 levels and has earned call-ups to the senior national team.
