PAOK officially began preparations for the 2026-27 season, with new head coach Andrea Trinchieri delivering his first speech to the team before the opening practice at the PAOK Sports Arena. Club president Ioannis Petmezas and general manager Giorgos Tsiaras also welcomed the players and coaching staff ahead of the session.
Speaking to his new squad, Trinchieri expressed his satisfaction with the club’s offseason work, revealing that he had secured every player he wanted. The Italian coach also emphasized the responsibility that comes with representing one of Greece’s most historic basketball clubs, urging his players to approach every day with commitment and maximum effort.
“I feel grateful because I got every player I wanted, and this is the team I wanted to have. It is very important that you understand what this jersey represents and how much weight the jersey you are wearing carries. This is not pressure. It means that you must know what is expected of you. It means commitment to this club, and it means that you must always give your very best.”
