Stefan Dordevic new Buducnost VOLI center

Budućnost Voli has strengthened its center position for the upcoming season, with Stefan Dordevic becoming the newest member of the blue-and-white squad.

The 27-year-old center arrives in Podgorica after a season with Śląsk Wrocław, where he competed in the Polish league and the EuroCup, and has signed a two-year contract with our club.

Last season in the Polish league, Stefan Dordevic averaged 11.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in just over 19 minutes on the court, while shooting an outstanding 67.2 percent from the field.

He is a center who scores a large share of his points where a center is needed most – right around the rim. He is very effective as a finisher in pick-and-roll situations, using his strength and good feel for space, and is particularly dangerous when he quickly attacks the basket after setting a screen.

His rebounding potential was best demonstrated in the season before his move to Śląsk. Playing for Arka Gdynia, he was the leading rebounder in the Polish league with 8.9 rebounds per game, while also ranking first in the league in average performance index rating at 24.2.

He developed as a basketball player within the Crvena zvezda system and later played for FMP and Vršac, before winning two Bosnian and Herzegovinian championship titles and two Bosnia and Herzegovina Cups with Igokea. After his time in Laktaši, his career took him to Girona in Spain, followed by Arka and Śląsk, with Podgorica now his next destination.

Dordevic already has experience playing in both the ABA League and the EuroCup, and in the new season he will be at the disposal of Budućnost Voli’s coaching staff.
