The Barça coaching staff led by Aleksander Sekulic will feature three new assistant coaches: Croatian Jurica Zuza, Slovenian Jernej Valentincic and Catalan Marc Estany. The three additions will join a group that has included Rafa Martínez and Xavier Beltran since 2023.
Jurica Zuza (48 years old): He will take on the role of Sekulic’s lead assistant coach. The two began working together in 2021 with ERA Nymburk in the Czech Republic. He also followed Sekulic to Russia, at Lokomotiv Kuban (2022-24) and Zenit (2025-26).
The former Croatian player (2.06 meters), who has experience in the leagues of Croatia, Greece, Italy, Ukraine, Turkey and Qatar, ended his playing career with Lithuanian side Lietkabelis. There, he began his coaching career as an assistant coach during the 2016-17 season. Between 2017 and 2020, he served as an assistant at BC Neptunas and was also appointed as the team’s head coach in 2020.
Jernej Valentincic (47 years old): He is another coach who enjoys Sekulic’s full confidence, having worked alongside him with the two Russian teams mentioned above, Lokomotiv Kuban (2023-24) and Zenit (2025-26).
The Slovenian coach began his career as an assistant with Croatian club Stoja (2008-11) and continued gaining experience in his home country with Slovan, first as an assistant (2011-12) and then as head coach (2012-14). Between 2017 and 2022, he was part of the Slovenia national team coaching staff.
Marc Estany (35 years old): The Manresa-born coach arrives at the Palau Blaugrana after spending his entire career with Bàsquet Manresa, where he held different roles. He has worked as an assistant coach since 2017, alongside Aleix Duran, Pedro Martínez, Joan Peñarroya and Diego Ocampo.
