Barcelona have officially announced Xavi Pujol as the new sporting director of their basketball section. The Manresa-born executive will take charge of the club’s sporting project on a three-year deal.

Pujol arrives after gaining experience with Manresa and Baskonia, two stops that strengthened his profile within Spanish basketball. He now takes over a key role at Barça during a summer already marked by a major roster overhaul.

For the Catalan club, this is a central step in reshaping the basketball section’s sporting structure. Pujol becomes the new reference point for Barça’s technical area, with the aim of bringing continuity and identity to the project in the coming seasons.
