The Houston Rockets have agreed to a one-year contract worth just over $3 million with veteran forward Jae’Sean Tate, including $1.04 million guaranteed.
Tate has been with the Rockets for the past six seasons, although his role has diminished over the last two campaigns. He averaged 11 minutes per game in 2024–25 and 8 minutes per game in 2025–26, spending much of the time on the fringes of Houston’s rotation.
With Tate’s new deal, the Rockets now have 15 players under contract (via CapSheets, com, including one non-guaranteed contract). Their payroll sits at approximately $203 million, slightly above the luxury tax threshold while remaining comfortably below the first apron.
