The Boston Celtics and Jordan Walsh have agreed to a three-year contract extension worth approximately $16 million, keeping the young forward under contract through the 2029–30 season.
According to Shams Charania, Boston first exercised Walsh’s $2.4 million team option for the upcoming season before adding three more years to his deal.
Michael Scotto reports that the extension includes two fully guaranteed seasons, with a team option for the final year.
The 22-year-old wing, selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, is coming off a season in which he averaged 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while posting a positive steals-to-turnovers differential, highlighting his defensive impact and efficient play.
The extension reflects Boston’s confidence in Walsh’s long-term development as part of the franchise’s young core.
