Yannick Nzosa returns to Unicaja Malaga

The Congolese center comes back after loan spells in Liga Endesa and Primera FEB

Yannick Nzosa is returning to Unicaja Malaga. The Spanish club announced that the 22-year-old, 2.08-meter Congolese center will rejoin the roster after several seasons on loan between Liga Endesa and Primera FEB.

Nzosa joined Malaga in the summer of 2019, entering the first-team environment at a very young age. He made his professional debut in October 2020 at 16 years, 10 months and 12 days, becoming the fourth-youngest player in club history and finishing his Liga Endesa debut with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and a 14 PIR.

After stints with Real Betis, Movistar Estudiantes, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and San Pablo Burgos, Nzosa now returns to Unicaja to bring energy, rim protection and defensive presence to the frontcourt. The player, selected by the Washington Wizards with the No. 54 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, will count as a homegrown player.
