Alessandro Pajola is set to restart his career with Partizan Belgrade. According to Walter Fuochi of Repubblica Bologna, the former Virtus Bologna captain has reached an agreement with the Serbian club on a two-year deal worth close to €1 million per season.
Pajola leaves Bologna after eleven years and chooses the first experience abroad of his career. The Italian guard had also been linked to Milano, a move that never really materialized, before Partizan made its push and brought him into one of Europe’s most historic and intense basketball environments.
In the new black-and-white project, Pajola is expected to be the second point guard behind Carlik Jones, while also being able to play next to him and free his offensive game. In Belgrade, Pajola will bring playmaking, defense and reliability: not the ace, Repubblica writes, but “one who helps you get the aces.”
