Dolomiti Energia Trentino Signs Darius Brown II on One-Year Deal

The American point guard, fresh off a standout G League season with the Cleveland Charge, completes Trentino’s roster for the 2026–27 campaign.

Dolomiti Energia Trentino has officially announced the signing of American point guard Darius Brown II on a one-year contract. The 1999-born playmaker arrives after an outstanding season with the Cleveland Charge in the NBA G League, where he finished as the league’s leading assist provider. With Brown’s arrival, Trentino completes its roster for the 2026–27 season.

Standing 188 cm (6’2”) tall and weighing 88 kg (194 lbs), Brown is a dynamic floor general capable of creating offense for both himself and his teammates. An excellent passer with outstanding court vision, he also possesses reliable scoring ability, combining consistent three-point shooting with the skill to attack the rim effectively. On the defensive end, Brown is known for his toughness and aggressiveness, qualities that earned him the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year award during his collegiate career.

Born in Pasadena, California, on July 28, 1999, Brown began his basketball journey at Pasadena High School, where he played from 2014 to 2018. He then started his NCAA career at California State University, Northridge, spending four seasons with the Matadors while showing steady improvement each year.

For the 2022–23 season, Brown transferred to Montana State University, averaging 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He completed his college career at Utah State University, posting 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game while helping the Aggies capture the Mountain West Conference regular-season title.

In the summer of 2024, Brown competed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League, impressing enough to earn a spot on the franchise’s preseason roster. He then joined the Cavaliers’ G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, where he averaged 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game during his rookie campaign.

Brown took another major step forward in the 2025–26 season, averaging 12.7 points, a league-best 10.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game while shooting 51.5% from two-point range and 39% from beyond the arc. During the season, he also made his NBA debut.
