Dallas adds the wing and waives Tyler Smith

The Dallas Mavericks have signed Jett Howard to a two-way contract. Michael Scotto reported the agreement between the player and the Texas franchise.

The move comes alongside another two-way roster decision. According to Scotto, Dallas is waiving Tyler Smith, the forward originally selected with the 33rd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Smith appeared in 12 games for the Mavericks last season, averaging 4.7 points in 13.8 minutes per game. Howard now gets a new opportunity inside the Dallas organization.
