Napoli Basket is reportedly close to completing one of the most intriguing moves of its summer transfer campaign. According to reports from Iacopo De Santis of Pianeta Basket and Toner Givati of Israel Hayom, the Neapolitan club is in advanced talks to bring Jeff Dowtin Jr. to Italy, with a deal believed to be nearing completion.
The American guard has built a solid résumé over the past few years, splitting his time between the NBA G League and the NBA, where he suited up for teams including the Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers before making the move overseas.
The 1998-born guard is coming off his first season in European basketball, spent with Maccabi Tel Aviv. In the Israeli league, Dowtin averaged 9.6 points and 4.3 assists per game, while in the EuroLeague he posted 8.1 points and 2.4 assists in an average of 17.2 minutes per contest.
