Dolomiti Energia Trentino has identified Darius Brown as a target at point guard. According to Corriere del Trentino, sports director Rudy Gaddo is tracking the 1999-born playmaker, coming off two strong G League seasons and a brief NBA appearance with Cleveland.
Brown, currently playing Summer League with the Phoenix Suns, finished last season with the Cleveland Charge as the G League assists leader: 12.4 points, 4 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 10.3 assists per game, while shooting 39% from three. In Las Vegas, he is averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
Trento appears to have moved ahead of the competition, also using the EuroCup stage to convince the player to make his European debut. If no late NBA opportunity emerges, Brown could sign after the weekend.
