FC Barcelona has announced an agreement with Umoja Gibson. The 28-year-old, 1.85-meter American point guard will sign a two-year contract through June 30, 2028, with the move becoming official once he passes his medical.
Gibson joins from Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, where he was one of the standout players of the latest EuroCup season. In 2025-26, he played 20 games in the competition, averaging 15.9 points, 4.9 assists and a 17.2 PIR.
After his NCAA career at North Texas, Oklahoma and DePaul, Gibson began his professional journey in Europe with BG Göttingen before playing for Spartak Subotica and Cedevita. Last season in the ABA League, he averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 assists and a 17.5 PIR, confirming himself as Barcelona’s choice to strengthen the point guard position.
