The French guard explains his ASVEL decision and confirms that the NBA remains a goal

Sylvain Francisco explained his decision to continue his career with ASVEL Villeurbanne. In an interview with Be Basket, relayed by SPORT24, the French guard revealed that five teams had made him the same financial offer.

“Five teams had made me the same offer and were willing to wait until July 20, when my NBA clause expires,” Francisco said. However, the project in France was more attractive to him: leading a French team, chasing a EuroLeague Final Four and maybe even dreaming of winning the competition.

Francisco also made clear that the NBA dream is still alive: “If that clause is in my contract, it is there for a reason. I still have the goal of playing in the NBA.” The July 20 deadline will clarify his future.
