Aris Thessaloniki continues to work on the market with the goal of building an ambitious team under the guidance of Vassilis Spanoulis. After several important moves, including the contract extensions of Elijah Mitrou-Long and the signings of players such as Khem Birch, Neno Dimitrijevic, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Matt Morgan, the Greek club is looking to add even more quality to its roster.
According to Eurohoops, the player closest to joining the team is Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. The American forward, born in 2000, is reportedly in advanced talks with Aris, with an agreement between the two sides potentially being reached in the coming weeks.
Robinson-Earl has played 219 NBA games with the Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks, along with some G League experience, averaging 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1 assist per game.
Selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, the American big man is preparing for a possible first experience outside the United States, with Aris hoping he can raise the team’s technical level and physicality.
At the same time, the Greek club is also working on the potential arrival of Stefan Jovic. The 36-year-old Serbian guard is coming off a season with Bayern Munich, where he shared the backcourt with Neno Dimitrijevic. Spanoulis’ desire to reunite the two players is believed to be one of the reasons behind Aris’ interest in the experienced point guard.
