The Israeli powerhouse is in advanced talks with the former NBA center while extending captain John DiBartolomeo through 2028.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is in advanced negotiations to sign Bruno Fernando, according to Moshe Barda of ONE. The Israeli club has reportedly offered the Angolan center a contract worth $2.1 million per season in an effort to complete one of the biggest signings of the offseason.

Fernando, 27, finished the 2025-26 campaign with Partizan after a brief stint at Real Madrid, where he won the Spanish League title. Although the agreement has not yet been finalized, both sides are believed to be close to reaching a deal.

Meanwhile, Maccabi has officially announced a two-year contract extension for longtime captain John DiBartolomeo through 2028.
