Hapoel Tel Aviv extend Ish Wainright through 2028

The Israeli club announced a two-year contract extension for the forward, a key part of its EuroLeague project

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv have announced a two-year contract extension for Ish Wainright, keeping him with the club through the end of the 2027-28 season. Wainright joined Hapoel in the summer of 2024 and was part of the EuroCup title, the club’s historic debut EuroLeague season and its playoff qualification.

Last season in EuroLeague, Wainright played 42 games, averaging 4.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists. In the Israeli Winner League, he appeared in 15 regular season games and 8 playoff games, averaging 8.1 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 40.6% from three.

“I am happy and excited to continue this journey for a few more years,” Wainright said. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis praised his versatility from the 3 to the 5 positions and described him as a player willing to sacrifice and do everything to help the team.
