Sylvain Francisco has signed a historic contract with ASVEL, but his future may not be fully settled yet. According to Basketnews, the French guard has a 30-day window, until July 30, to trigger an NBA-out clause included in his new deal.
The former Zalgiris Kaunas guard had already made it clear that the NBA remained his main goal before joining Villeurbanne. At the same time, after signing with ASVEL, Francisco described the move as a childhood dream, highlighting the emotional value of the project.
A move to the NBA would still be complicated, especially considering the financial weight of his three-year ASVEL contract, reportedly worth around €16 million. Francisco has not shown any concrete sign of wanting to leave Villeurbanne for now, but the clause keeps the scenario open until the end of July.
