Bayern Munich sign Duane Washington Jr.

The former Partizan guard joins the German club on a two-year deal through 2028

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Duane Washington Jr. The American guard, born in Frankfurt, joins from Partizan Belgrade on a two-year deal through 2028.

Washington, 26, played 79 NBA games with the Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns, averaging 9.1 points. In Europe, he suited up for Partizan, where last season he was the team’s second-leading scorer with 14.9 points per game.

New Bayern sporting director Thorsten Leibenath highlighted Washington’s versatility and his ability to thrive in an up-tempo system. Washington has already reached out to Andi Obst: “We can become a very dynamic duo that’s going to be extremely hard to guard.”
