Mike James leaves Monaco: a historic Roca Team chapter comes to an end

AS Monaco Basket has announced the departure of Mike James, closing one of the most important chapters in the recent history of the Roca Team.

The club paid tribute to the American guard after five seasons, describing his impact as unforgettable and thanking him for the emotions, the lasting moments and his role in helping Monaco grow.

With Mike James, Monaco won three French league titles, one Leaders Cup and one French Cup, while also reaching the EuroLeague Final Four twice.

Individually, James also made history as EuroLeague MVP and the competition’s all-time leading scorer, becoming the symbol of Monaco’s rise on the European stage.

“The history of the Roca Team will never be written without Mike James,” AS Monaco Basket wrote in its farewell message.
