Watson headed to Italy after a good season in France with ASVEL

Reyer Venezia are reportedly finalizing the signing of Glynn Watson, according to BasketNews.

The 29-year-old point guard out of Nebraska is expected to replace RJ Cole, who is set to join Olimpia Milano, in coach Neven Spahija’s backcourt.

Watson made his EuroLeague debut with ASVEL last season, averaging 14.2 points, 3.1 assists and 25 minutes per game while shooting 45% from the field, 42% from three-point range and 83% from the free-throw line.

He finished among the EuroLeague’s top 20 scorers, and among the competition’s most prolific three-point shooters .

Only Facundo Campazzo matched his efficiency from beyond the arc among the top 30 players in three-pointers made.
