BKT EuroCup, six Italian teams in: Maxima Roma also listed

The Euroleague Commercial Assets Board has approved the final list of participating clubs for the 2026-27 BKT EuroCup season.

The Italian contingent will include Derthona Basket, Dolomiti Energia Trento, Umana Reyer Venezia, Roma Basketball, Napoli Basket and also Maxima Roma. The inclusion of Maxima Roma in the official list appears to be a significant signal that the transfer of Pallacanestro Brescia’s sporting license to Rome has been formalized.

The competition format has also been confirmed: the regular season will feature four groups of eight teams, with the top 16 teams advancing to the postseason. The playoffs will include Eighthfinals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals, all played as best-of-three series.

The EuroCup season is scheduled to tip off on September 29, 2026.
