The French guard leaves Monaco after four seasons and is expected to fill the void left by Shane Larkin, who is set to join rivals Fenerbahce.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul has officially announced the signing of Matthew Strazel, who is expected to replace Shane Larkin following the star guard’s move to arch-rivals Fenerbahce.

The two sides have agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third season, as confirmed by the Turkish club.

Strazel leaves Monaco after four years with the French powerhouse. During that time, he developed into one of the most reliable guards in the EuroLeague, showcasing not only his scoring ability but also his playmaking skills and leadership on the court.

The French international enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, establishing himself as a key contributor and proving capable of both creating his own shot and setting up teammates. His arrival gives Efes a versatile backcourt option as the club looks to remain among Europe’s elite.
