LNB president Philippe Ausseur addressed the future of Monaco, suggesting that a rebuilding phase and the arrival of new shareholders could be part of the solution

The future of Monaco remains a major topic in France, while the team is still competing in the French League Finals against Paris. LNB president Philippe Ausseur said the club may need to go through a transition period before rebuilding.

According to Ausseur, Alexey Fedorychev is struggling to accept the reality that he may have to hand over control of the club. The LNB president also questioned whether a model based on a €30-40 million budget is realistic.

“Returning to the lower divisions and bringing in new shareholders seems to be the solution,” Ausseur said, adding that new elements are expected next week and that the situation should become clear by early July.
