Panathinaikos and Ergin Ataman part ways after three seasons

Panathinaikos has decided to turn the page and part ways with head coach Ergin Ataman. The announcement was made directly by the club through its official social media channels.

Following a meeting with club president Dimitris Giannakopoulos, it was confirmed that the two sides would go their separate ways. Ataman arrived on the Greens’ bench in 2023 and enjoyed immediate success, leading Panathinaikos to the Greek League title and the EuroLeague championship during the 2023-24 season.

The decision marks the end of a significant chapter for both the club and the Turkish coach, who helped bring Panathinaikos back to the top of European basketball.
