Ataman furious: “Jones punched Nunn in the locker room”

Ergin Ataman was furious in his post-game comments to ERT after Game 5 of the Finals between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. The Turkish coach, initially calm, returned to the cameras visibly upset and denounced an alleged incident in the locker room.

Ataman said: “Tyrique Jones punched Nunn in the locker room. What are these things, is this Greek basketball? What is Tyrique Jones doing, it is a shame!”

Earlier, the Panathinaikos coach had also acknowledged the result on the court: “These were excellent Finals, congratulations to Olympiacos, they are the winners. Congratulations to my players, I am proud of them, they fought against everyone in this series.”
