Monaco’s future in the EuroLeague remains one of the most closely watched topics ahead of the shareholders’ meeting scheduled for tomorrow. According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Principality club has found a U.S.-based investor willing to support the project and help secure its place in Europe’s premier basketball competition.
The issue will be discussed during the EuroLeague shareholders’ meeting. If Monaco is granted approval to remain in the competition, no formal vote will be required.
Should the club fail to receive the green light, one of Beşiktaş, PAOK, Bahçeşehir, or Hapoel Jerusalem could be selected to take its place in the EuroLeague.
Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe Beko, both EuroLeague shareholders, are also expected to play a key role in the decision-making process, with each club holding one vote.
