According to Eurohoops, the Catalan coach met with president Rafa Yuste, but did not change his mind: barring a major twist, his future will be in Dubai. His decision is now accelerating Barcelona’s search for a new head coach.
One of the first names emerging is Vassilis Spanoulis, the European basketball legend who recently coached Monaco to a EuroLeague runner-up finish and also leads the Greek national team.
Encestando had also reported that Barcelona was “forced” to study coaching alternatives, with Spanoulis and Ibon Navarro among the first names considered. In the background is agent Misko Raznatovic, already involved in several Barça market files.
