The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to make history in the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
They have become just the 11th team ever to start a postseason with an 8-0 record.
OKC now join an exclusive group featuring some of the most dominant teams in NBA history: the 2017 Golden State Warriors, who started 15-0, the 2001 and 1989 Los Angeles Lakers, both 11-0, and the 2017 and 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers, who opened 10-0.
The list also includes the 2012 San Antonio Spurs, 1982 Lakers, 2010 Orlando Magic, 2009 Cleveland Cavaliers and 2005 Miami Heat. The 2026 Thunder are now part of that historic company.
The milestone confirms Oklahoma City’s dominance so far in the postseason. The road is still long, but the Thunder’s perfect 8-0 start already belongs in the NBA record books.
