Jaylen Brown fined $50,000 by NBA for criticizing officials

The NBA has fined Jaylen Brown $50,000 for publicly criticizing the officiating during the Boston Celtics’ first-round playoff loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

During a Twitch stream, Brown accused officials of “clearly” having an agenda against him, specifically questioning offensive foul calls. “If you’re going to call push-offs, call that,” Brown said while showing a Paul George play.

Brown, who was also fined $35,000 in January for criticizing officials, also called out Joel Embiid for flopping: “Joel Embiid is a great player. One of the best bigs in basketball history. But he flops. He know it.”
