The Denver Nuggets will have to fend off interest from at least three teams to retain Peyton Watson in the upcoming offseason.
Those teams are the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and Brooklyn Nets.
All three franchises are expected to have the financial flexibility to offer Watson a deal that could be difficult for Denver to match, especially with the Nuggets already carrying roughly $200 million in guaranteed salaries for the 2026–27 season. In addition, both the Lakers and Bulls explored potential trades with Denver prior to the Trade Deadline.

Watson, currently dealing with hamstring issues that kept him sidelined during the playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, will become one of the most sought-after restricted free agents starting July 1.
Before the injury, the former UCLA forward was averaging 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, while shooting 49% from the field, 41% from three-point range, and 73% from the free-throw line.
