The Minnesota Timberwolves are entering the playoffs determined to rediscover their best version. Anthony Edwards said the team knows how good it can be, but now it must prove it consistently after a regular season that lost momentum over the last few months.
Part of that inspiration came from Kevin Garnett’s return to Target Center, a moment that clearly energized Edwards and the team. Edwards called Garnett “the greatest Timberwolf of all time,” while coach Chris Finch said Minnesota now has to “flip the switch” and bring back the continuity, connection and intensity needed for playoff basketball.
Edwards heads into the postseason after averaging 28.8 points per game, all while posting career highs in efficiency, despite being limited to 61 games because of knee pain. Rudy Gobert also stressed that Minnesota must come out hungry against a strong opponent if it wants a real chance to advance.
