Pantaleo Dell’Orco has clarified the rumors circulating about Olimpia Milano and the Oaktree fund. The president of the Giorgio Armani Foundation and of the board of directors of the red-and-white club explained to Luca Guazzoni of ANSA that, as things stand, there is nothing concrete regarding a possible sale of shares: “There’s nothing concrete; it’s just talk at the moment.”
The head of the Assago Forum club confirmed that there have been contacts, but downplayed the significance of the rumors, emphasizing that they are still far from actual negotiations. This is a clear stance that, for now, rules out the possibility of a sale of minority shares to the fund that owns FC Internazionale.
Dell’Orco also reiterated Olimpia Milano’s stance on the future of European basketball: “Olimpia Milano’s commitment remains with them; we’ll see how negotiations between NBA Europe and the EuroLeague itself unfold.” This issue is set to remain central in the coming weeks.
