Zeljko Obradovic: If I decide to do it, it will mean I have found the motivation

Zeljko Obradovic has spoken again about his future and has not ruled out a return to coaching after leaving Partizan.
In the interview reported in the text provided, the most decorated coach in European basketball explained that he is taking a break, but kept open the possibility of going back to the bench.

Obradovic said he is living this period away from coaching with peace of mind, focusing on other things he did not have time for while working. At the same time, however, he made it clear that the final decision will come later and will depend above all on whether he feels the inner drive to return.

“I am a very happy person because I was able to dedicate myself to something I love. That has fulfilled me,” Obradovic said. He then added: “At this moment I have taken a break. In June I will talk to myself. If I decide to do it, it will mean I have found the motivation”. He also said: “Motivation is what drives all of us, regardless of our profession”.

During the interview, Obradovic also spoke about Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic, showing great admiration for both stars. “They are top-level players because they are people who enjoy playing basketball,” he said. Speaking specifically about Doncic, he added: “I cannot give any advice to Doncic. Luka has already built an incredible career”.
