Utah State is finalizing a five-year contract with Ben Jacobson to make him the program’s next head coach. According to the report, the deal is close to completion and would bring in one of the most experienced coaches in college basketball.
Jacobson spent 20 seasons at Northern Iowa, where he won 397 games and led the program to five NCAA Tournament appearances. His résumé makes him a major hire for a school looking to strengthen its direction on the bench.
For Utah State, this would mean handing the program to a coach known for stability, consistency and long-term success. The final steps of the agreement are now reportedly being completed.
