Paul George has completed his 25-game suspension for violating the NBA and NBPA anti-drug policy. The Philadelphia 76ers forward is now eligible to return on Wednesday when the team hosts the Chicago Bulls.
Head coach Nick Nurse said he is not concerned about George needing extra time to get back into game shape. “He’s worked hard, he’s conditioned hard,” Nurse said about the veteran forward.
With George suspended and Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey dealing with injuries, Philadelphia has fallen to seventh place in the Eastern Conference. His return could give the Sixers an important boost as they try to move out of the Play-In Tournament and chase a guaranteed playoff spot.
