Anadolu Efes provided an update on captain Shane Larkin, who is sidelined with a groin injury. Following a scheduled medical check-up conducted by Prof. Dr. Barış Kocaoğlu, extensive examinations determined there is no need for a new surgical evaluation, but also confirmed that Larkin’s treatment process is not yet complete.
The club expects Larkin to remain out for another 4-6 weeks, with his rehabilitation being periodically reviewed by the medical staff and coaching staff. Head coach Pablo Laso also commented: “As you can imagine, this is a difficult situation for our team. We want our captain Shane Larkin to be with us one hundred percent healthy, and I hope he joins us as soon as possible”.
Laso added that the team tried to have Larkin available for the Turkish Cup, but it wasn’t possible, and he thanked the club’s medical staff and organization for their work. Efes also reminded fans to rely on official club channels for injury updates and to avoid speculative commentary.
