A Fort Bend County (Texas) grand jury declined to indict former NBA guard Patrick Beverley in the case that led to his arrest last fall on a felony assault charge tied to what police described as a “family violence” incident. The “no-bill” indicates the grand jury found insufficient evidence to take the matter to trial, effectively ending the case.
In a statement, attorneys Rusty Hardin and Letitia Quiñones-Hollins said Beverley “would never do anything to harm his sister” and expressed gratitude that the process ran its course, adding hopes that his name and reputation can be restored. Beverley also posted publicly after the decision, thanking supporters and emphasizing the importance of protecting children.
Beverley, 37, last played in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024 after a 12-year career.
