Hapoel Tel Aviv Opens Talks with Mike James for Next Season

Hapoel Tel Aviv is active on the market ahead of the EuroLeague final stretch, but behind the scenes the ambitious Israeli club is already working on plans for next season.

According to Walla Sport, the team has made initial contact with the representatives of Mike James, the star guard who is widely expected to leave AS Monaco after five seasons.

Pursuing the EuroLeague’s all-time leading scorer would not bode well for the confirmation of Dimitris Itoudis as head coach. James left CSKA Moscow following a dispute with Itoudis and later stated that he had lost respect for the Greek coach.

Hapoel Tel Aviv already has several players under contract for next season, including Vasilije Micic, Elijah Bryant and Antonio Blakeney.
