As reported by Shams Charania, Paul George has been suspended by the NBA for 25 games for violating the league’s anti-drug policy.
The player released the following statement: “Over the last few years, I’ve often spoken about the importance of mental health, and while recently seeking treatment for a personal issue, I made the mistake of taking an inappropriate medication. I take full responsibility for my actions and apologize to the Sixers organization, my teammates, and the fans of Philadelphia for the poor decisions made during this process. I am focused on using this time to ensure that my mind and body are in the best possible condition to help the team upon my return.”
