Hapoel Tel Aviv are going through a rough stretch in the EuroLeague, with a second consecutive defeat raising alarms after the loss to Bayern. Reports say president Ofer Yannay delivered a strong message in the aftermath.
Yannay reportedly met with CEO Kahi Reichenstein, head coach Dimitris Itoudis, his assistants and the broader staff, demanding an immediate response. The tone was described as uncompromising, with a call for quick changes.
“This situation cannot continue and, if it does, there will be shocks with everyone’s position at stake, from the coach to the assistants and the analysts. Things have to change, and fast. You have the tools to succeed.”
After the game, Itoudis is said to have spoken to his players for roughly two hours to reset focus and accountability. Hapoel now look for a bounce-back on the court in the next EuroLeague fixtures.
