AS Monaco are reportedly heading toward an emergency transition: the Principality of Monaco is expected to take over the club “in the coming days”, acting as a bridge while the search for a new majority owner moves forward.

The report describes a club weighed down by debt and delayed payments, with the current owner Alekszej Fedorychev facing cash-flow issues linked to the broader geopolitical context.

Regulatory pressure has also mounted: in late November, the EuroLeague upheld a registration ban and a €300,000 fine tied to overdue payables and compliance issues, while the LNB reiterated that Monaco could be kept out of the playoffs if outstanding obligations (including the luxury tax) are not settled by the end of the regular season.
